ABOUT US
We're the trade association for the UK's biomass power sector, the second largest source of renewable electricity in Britain.
ABOUT BIOMASS UK
Biomass UK represents nearly 200 owners, operators, suppliers, contractors and investors in the UK’s international biomass supply chain.
We are part of the Association for Renewable Energy & Clean Technology (REA). We are funded through the membership fees and contributions of members. You can see our list of members on the REA website.
We work to promote a better understanding of biomass energy and its benefits to the UK. We do this by working with government, politicians, media, academics and others.
ABOUT THE REA
The Association for Renewable Energy & Clean Technology (REA) was established in 2001 as a not-for-profit trade association, representing British renewable energy producers and promoting the use of renewable energy in the UK. The REA helps its members to build commercially and environmentally sustainable businesses whilst increasing the role of renewable electricity, heat and transport in the UK's energy mix.
There are nearly 700 members of the REA, operating in a wide range of renewable technology sectors, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydropower and energy from waste, hydrogen and electric vehicles.
